Simpson Strong-Tie CCOQ/ECCOQ Weld-On Column Caps

The Simpson Strong-Tie CCOQ/ECCOQ Weld-On Column Caps are designed to provide strong column-beam connections in end-of-beam and center beam applications on top of steel members. The column cap features a design without legs, enabling a field-welded attachment to steel columns and beams. The seat of the column cap provides additional surface area for bearing that extends beyond the side of the column. This helps distribute the load from the beam and provide support for the connection. The ECCOQ uses Strong-Drive® SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws for fast installation and to attach to a greater net section area of the column than a bolt attachment normally entails.   Please Note: You should always check with an engineer and/or building department if you are making structural changes to any project.
