The Simpson Strong-Tie MTS20SS 1-1/4" Wide x 20" Long Stainless Steel Medium Twist Strap provides a tension connection between two members. This twist strap resists moderate uplift loads at the rafter or heel of a truss. The MTS20 has a small bend section to reduce interference at the transition points between the two members. MTS straps do not need to be wrapped over the truss to achieve the allowable load.

Type 316L Connector Stainless Steel Information
Type 316L stainless steel is a nickel-chromium austenitic grade of stainless steel with 2-3% Molybdenum. Type 316L stainless steel is not hardened by heat treatment and is inherently nonmagnetic. It provides a level of corrosion protection suitable for severe environments, especially environments with chlorides. Type 316L stainless-steel fasteners are compliant with the 2012 and 2015 IBC and IRC.
