The Simpson Strong-Tie HD7B Holdown is a self jigging anchor that ensures the bottom bolt that attaches to the stud or post is seven times the diameter of the bolt. This holdown uses the same design as the HDQ8-SDS2.5 holdown that is proven to greatly reduce deflection while under load. All the HDB style holdown anchors are designed to provide loads for intermediate-load-range shearwalls, braced wall panels and lateral applications. The HD7B must be connected to a minimum of 3" of material.

Standard G90 Zinc Galvanized Coating contains 0.90 oz. of zinc per square foot of surface area (total both sides). This coating provides a low level of corrosion resistance and should be used in dry environments.
