The Simpson Strong-Tie H1 Hurricane Ties provide a connection between the truss or rafter with the top plate. The fasteners required for the rafter or truss are 8d .131" x 1-1/2" or longer #9 x 1-1/2" SD Structural Screws.

Standard G90 Zinc Coating:
Zinc galvanized coating containing 0.90 oz. of zinc per square foot of surface area (total both sides).
Level of Corrosion Resistance: Low

Z-Max G-185 Coating:
Galvanized (G185) 1.85 oz. of zinc per square foot of surface area (hot-dip galvanized per ASTM A653 total both sides). These products require hot-dip galvanized fasteners (fasteners which meet the specifications of ASTM A153).
Level of Corrosion Resistance: Medium
