Closed Cell Backer Rod is a round, flexible, continuous extruded, closed-cell polyethylene foam backer
rod for use as a backing for elastomeric and other cold applies sealants.
Benefits
Backer rod limits the depth of the sealant and prevents excessive sealant use. It also helps sealant assume optimum
shape factor to prolong sealant service life and acts as a barrier to the flow of sealant through the joint.
Applications
Common applications include, but are not limited to expansion and contraction joints, curtain walls, construction
partitions, parking decks and bridge construction.

- Out of Stock: This product is out of stock and will be replaced in the future. Depending on the vendor we can sometimes have a product that is out of stock drop shipped direct to you. Please call 800-323-2999 if you have any questions.
- Discontinued: These are products we are no longer stocking. However they may be available as a special order. Please call 800-323-2999 if you have any questions.
