Hitachi NT65M2 16 Gauge 2-1/2" Finish Nailer

The Hitachi NT65M2 2-1/2" 16-gauge Finish Nailer is used for installing molding, chair rail, cabinetry and other fine finish applications. It illustrates Hitachi's new signature design and features an integrated air duster to clear away dust and debris from the work surface. The NT65M2 provides a tool-less, easy-to-clear nose for quick and simple nail extraction should a nail jam during use. A simple flip of the selective actuation switch allows for either sequential or contact fastening, depending on the application with no additional parts or tools required. Combined with Hitachi’s 5-year warranty, this finish nailer is guaranteed to deliver for years to come.

Hitachi NT65MA2 15 Gauge 2-1/2" Angled Finish Nailer

The NT65MA2 15-Gauge Angled Finish Nailer is used for installing cabinets, door and window casings, staircases and chair rails. Its compact body and angled magazine make for easier placement and operation in tight angles. The integrated air duster clears debris from the work site allowing for faster, cleaner job completion.

The Senco FinishPro42XP and Hitachi NT65MA2 angled finish nailers provide the power and dependability to get the job done. Whereas some finish carpenters may favor 16-gauge tools because the fasteners are cheaper, the 15-gauge guns will provide a better finish product because the thicker nails hold better and are less likely to bend. Since the 15-gauge fasteners are collated at an angle, the nailers work better in tight spaces.

Even though the 16 gauge finish nailers and nails do not stand up to the 15 gauge models in power and durability they do have their positives. They are much lighter and the fasteners are considerably less expensive. If you have no need to drive long fasteners into hard woods then these light weight finish systems can prove to be quite sufficient as well as economical.
