21º Plastic Collated Strip Nails

Common names for 21 degree strip nails are: Full Head Gun Nails, Step Down Collated Nails, Duo-Fast Nails, Air Nails, Grip Rite Nails, and Plastic Collated Nails.

Bright Basic 21º Full Head Gun Nails

Bright Basic 21º Full Head Gun Nails are vinyl coated for better holding power but offer no corrosion resistance. This type of nail will rust or bleed almost immediately when it comes in contact with moisture.

Hot Dip Galvanized 21º Full Head Gun Nails

Hot Dipped Galvanized Gun Nails are a higher quality of galvanization. The steel nails are bathed in molten zinc. The zinc forms an alloy with the outer layer of the steel providing greater protection. This type of galvanizing is approved for use in ACQ (Alkaline Copper Quaternary) products or certain exterior applications depending on the area.

Electro Galvanized 21º Full Head Gun Nails

Electroplated galvanized nails often are very shiny. The thin zinc coating is applied to the steel in an electrolytic solution. The coating of zinc is very thin. The corrosion resistance of these nails is minimal when exposed to weather or high acid woods like cedar or redwood. Additionally these nails are not approved to be used in ACQ (Alkaline Copper Quaternary) products.

Stainless Steel Ring Shank 21º Full Head Gun Nails

The type 304 Stainless Steel Ring Shank 21º Full Head Gun Nails are the most common type used in the nailing industry. They contain 18 percent chromium and 8 percent nickel. These nails provide maximum corrosion protection in almost all environments but can still be a problem in coastal areas over a long period of time.

Smooth Shank 21º Full Head Gun Nails

Smooth Shank Gun Nail are either vinyl coated, hot dipped galvanized, or electro galvanized. They do not hold as well as deformed shank nails like ring shank and drive screw.

Ring Shank 21º Full Head Gun Nails

Ring Shank Gun Nails are annularly threaded nails that are widely used in construction projects where natural expansion and contraction can cause the nail to back out. Ring Shank gun nails are a type of deformed shank nail in which circular threads are rolled into the shank after the point and head are formed. The threads provide superior withdrawal strength under extreme loading conditions and adverse moisture conditions. The most common places ring shank gun nails are used are flooring and siding.

Drive Screw 21º Full Head Gun Nails

Like ring shank gun nails, screw shanks also provide additional holding power over smooth shank gun nails. The debate as to whether ring shank or screw shank gun nails are better at holding will rage on for many years. Many contractors say that because the nail turns as it goes in the wood it creates a stronger bond. Whether your preference is ring shank or drive screw gun nails we have them in stock. This plastic collated gun nail is manufactured to fit into most 20º - 22º nail guns including the Hitachi NR83A2, NR83A2S, NR90AC3, NR90AE, NR90GR, Dewalt D51845, Duo-Fast CN350B, Porter Cable FR350A, and many more.
