Dayton Superior A-4 Hex Head Snap Ties are manufactured with hot-forged integral 1/2" hex-shaped heads. The hex head allows short-end snap ties to be broken back with the form work still in place.
The standard A-4 uses 1" x 1" A-2 Plastic Cones to provide a nominal 1" breakback.

How To Figure Snaptie Pressure with Spacing
Snap ties are used in single and double waler poured-in-place concrete forming applications. They accommodate
any wall thickness, as well as many forming lumber types. This forming method is used for retaining and standard
walls, batter walls, bridges, concrete signs, footings, etc. They are held in place by a Snaptie Wedge or Jahn Bracket.
