Bull, Magnesium and Laminated Resin Floats

Concrete floats are used to smooth the concrete after screeding and in preparation for troweling. Floats can also can be used to work in dry-shake color hardener. One of the other advantages is floating will not close the surface like troweling. This will permit water to bleed out which is important to proper curing. As a general rule mag (magnesium) and aluminum floats tend to seal the concrete while wood and resin floats tend to open or bring more paste to the surface of concrete.
